With the large vertical heating element and oscillation feature, the Bionaire Tower Ceramic Heater is able to spread heat across large areas. The programmable digital thermostat allows you to pre-heat to your desired temperature and shut-off automatically for up to 16 hours. Setting the temperature and oscillation is easy with the remote control and the seven-level safety protection includes: auto safety shut-off, tip-over protection, manual user reset, thermally protected motor, safe ceramic technology, cool touch plastic housing and flame resistant V2 rated plastics.

This is my first room heater. I have been using this for 2months. Till now i never had any problem and the noise it is creating is really nothing. I saw some other tower heaters bought in Wal-Mart at my friends house. Those are really disgusting products with lot of noise and few pre determined temperature settings.

The thermostat is of not superior quality. At one end of rotation it will show one temperature and the other end its different. But its good at work to start and stop when the set temperature is reached.

Works in four different modes Continuous high (consumes 1500W power), Continuous low (consumes 800W), auto high (stops when the set temperature reached), auto low (stops when the set temperature reached but takes 800W).

Overall for the price I have paid ($40 in Costco) this one is a really good pick with nice remote control. Two of my friends bought it after looking at its performance and low noise.
