Bionaire BH3955 Micathermic Console heater

Positive Silent, works on lo or hi ok. 5 yr warranty.
Cons: Poor wheel and temp gauge design and poor instructions.

My opinion after 2 hours is that it is going back to the store. The manual does not provide complete information. Some information in the manual applies to a different unit. The wheels are not correctly manufactured and fall off. The digital temperature indicator is off by about 10 degrees on the high side. Apparently it is affected by the heat from the unit. It does not draw 12.5 amps on high as described, it draws 13.5 amps on high. Is it just my unit that is defective?…I don’t know. It has many advantages and is quite nice, but it doesn’t work as promised. Manual also refers to a dial and since my unit is digital, it is not applicable. I called the 800 number, pushed the item for service and of course they are not open on Saturdays. My other two Bionaire ceramic heaters with similar features work fine. Bionaire needs to go back to the drawing board on this one and actually test it with real consumers before they sell the unit.
