So far I like this heater. It’s easy to use, and makes me comfortable in cold weather. I’ve had it a little over a week now.

This unit does not have wheels. It must be picked up and carried, for which it has something like handles. It’s not too heavy, but an oil filled heater has to have oil in it in order to work properly and that necessarily adds some weight.

I’m not sure if the rounded shape confers any benefit. I suspect it does not. It does look good though, not all boxy like a normal oil filled heater.

DeLonghi also makes these for Kenwood with the same model number with a K added to it.

It is “Designed and Engineered in Italy” but “Made in China”.

Instruction Manual

Badly written. It looks like it was translated out of another language by someone who’s resume says they speak English, but who really doesn’t speak English. Really guys, how much can it cost to hire a native speaker? America, England, Canada, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand are chock full of people who speak English perfectly. Ever hear of college students?

Temperature Setting

It has 3 setting switch. Min = Minimum setting, Med = Medium setting, and Min + Med = High setting.

There is also a dial with settings from 1-6 so you can fine tune your heat setting within the Min to High range.

The Clock Thing

I really like the 24 hour clock on this heater. I can set it to turn ON or OFF at 1/4 hour increments over a 24 hour day. It’s easy to set and it works pretty well. The tabs are a bit small but are pretty easy to flip if you have fingernails. Though one of the little tabs on mine is stuck in the ON position and it won’t switch to the OFF position no matter what I do.

One thing that it lacks, that I think would improve it a lot is a simple disengage switch for the clock timer so I can run the heater for a short time without having to re-set the clock thing. This would be useful when I am at home at an unusual time or on the weekend when I don’t want to re-set it just for two days.

Heating Ability

Like all oil filled heaters it’s a slow starter. Once it gets going it does quite well. It heats up my 11×15 foot room and keeps it cozy. I usually have it on Medium-4 because any higher and my room gets too hot.

I live in North Central California, so it doesn’t get too cold. Maybe a little below freezing on a bad day.
