My wife and I moved in May 2007 to a newly-built home located in one of the desert cities of Southern California. Because our city has a high elevation, it is hot during summer days but cold at nights.

Last winter was the coldest in California in decades. In fact, it snowed in four separate days in our city. The first day was December 13, 2007. When we woke up that morning, snowflakes were falling on the rooftops, the yards, the cars and on the streets. The hills and the mountains were blanketed with snow. It was surreal and beautiful view and I couldn’t believe it! But the following days, it was so cold that I had to turn the house centralized heater system on 18 hours a day !

That created a problem because it heats up the 2 bedrooms, the big living room, the dining room, the kitchen, the 2 big bathrooms, the laundry room, the big closet, and the 2 hallways. The 2-car garage is only part that was not a part of the heating system where I set up my make-shift small office. My wife works day-shift and sometimes nights. Since only two of us lives in the house, it is so much waste of energy dollars.

I needed a portable electric heater and I chose the Lakewood Electric Heater Model 205 Radiant heater. I bought it from Walmart Store, On Sale for $ 21.

MY EXPERIENCE AND FEEDBACK

My Lakewood Portable Electric Heater is economical, powerful and efficient and it has solved my heating problem in new home. It has served well in my garage-based office, in my living or family room, in my bedroom, in my dining room and other parts of the house that need heat without turning on the heating system on and wasting energy and money.

I recommend it to those big homes with one or two occupants in winter or cold nights. This powerful and efficient heater is small but big in performance. Also, it cost less in price and electric bills.
