Living in Florida, in a very old house, that does not have central heat, I have a great use for space heaters. I have a couple of the bigger radiator type heaters, but needed something small for my bedroom. It is very crowded in there, and there is no room to put a big heater, without it touching something, which would start a fire.

I decided to purchase this Holmes Ceramic Heater for a few reasons. The first reason was the size. It is a very small, square heater, and will fit just about anywhere. The second reason I decided on this particular heater is because it is encased in a plastic housing that stays pretty cool, even when the heater is running. The other main reason I purchased this product was because it also has a safety feature that shuts the heater down if the cord gets hot, or the product starts to overheat. I thought this would be perfect for my bedroom, which has close quarters!

Upon getting the heater home and set up, I also noticed that this heater can be set, to keep the room at the desired temperature, without the heater running all the time. It is very easy to set this option as well. This makes me feel safer too, because we have to leave this heater running throughout the night in our bedroom to keep it warm. To set the heater to keep the room a certain temperature, all you have to do is run the heater until the room reaches the desired temperature, then you will slowly turn the temperature knob to the left until the heater stops running. That’s it, now your heater will turn back on when the room temperature drops, and then go of when it reaches temp again. It will continue to do this until you turn it off. The heater’s cord is also a decent length for being such a small heater too. If for some reason you need to move this heater after it has been running, it has a nice little built in handle, which doesn’t get too warm, because it’s made of plastic, so you can move this heater no problem, even if i was running prior to moving it.

Overall this is a pretty good heater. It is small, it works well, it’s inexpensive, it’s the perfect size for any smaller rooms you may have, and it has the automatic shut off it it gets too warm. I would recommend this heater for smaller rooms.
