I received this Lakewood heater as a gift, though, prior to that, I had experience using it in a friend’s studio apartment.

What I like about it:

1. Effective- For its small size, this space heater really delivers. It can heat up a small studio or large bedroom quickly.

2. Cheap- For about $22, you probably cannot find a comparable heater. (At least I can’t.)

3. Adjusts to temperature- I really like how it turns on/off according to the temperature in the room, depending on what level you set it at. It also has two settings- 750 Watts and 1500 Watts. Some other heaters I have owned before would get really hot and blast heat continuously but not be able to get this heat circulating farther than a few feet in front of it. This Lakewood unit has been effective in actually moving the heat around the room.

What can be improved:

1. Looks- This unit is not especially attractive but for what I want it to do, I have no complaints about its plain gray exterior.

2. On the noisy side- By moving heat around the room, this unit is on the noisy side. It is not something you want to leave on overnight for both safety reasons and noise level.
